Balenciaga, Beaded Cocktail Dress, Spring 1963
Shift dress in green silk crêpe with a black tulle outer layer; outer layer with all-over black jet beading. Collarless, round neckline. Short sleeves. Above-the-knee length skirt. Woven ribbon & beaded trim at neckline, sleeve hems, and skirt hem. Concealed zipper and hook-and-eye closures at back of green dress; snap closures at back of tulle outer layer. Fully lined in black silk habotai.

Condition
Condition: The overall condition is very good, in consideration of the vintage nature of the garment. Minor wear to silk at edges near zipper. Faint discoloration to green dress at underarms. Some discoloration marks and small hole at back of green dress, near hem. A few beads missing throughout; some are retained. Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use.
